Vessels

(None of these Categories are concrete, if they help with navigation or location of particular information, then they will have fulfilled their purpose. Such is the fate of Linearity in a Wholistic Cosmos.)

Cauldron - When the term Cauldron is used in reference to a Magickal Implement, Sacred Object, Ceremonial Tool and/or Focus it generally refers to a large usually round utensil similar to one used for cooking large stews etc. The Cauldron when used in a Working ordinarily represents the Feminine Energies in a specific providing or nurturing aspect, and in some cases is used in directing the Energies.

Chalice - When the term Chalice is used in reference to a Magickal Implement, Sacred Object, Ceremonial Tool and/or Focus it generally refers to a implement for drinking, usually of a decorative type (the word itself comes for the Greek Kalyx, as of a flower) specifically made for general or particular Magickal Working, and/or consecrated to the same.

Cruet - When the term Cruet is used in reference to a Magickal Implement, Sacred Object, Ceremonial Tool and/or Focus it generally refers to a regular or specially designed object in the shape of an Arrow which is a stoppered bottle or vessel, typically made of glass, normally small and decorative. Best specifically made for general or particular Magickal Working, and/or consecrated to the same.

Cup - When the term Cup [in Aleister Crowley's 777 Tables of Correspondences, key number 23] is used in reference to a Magickal Implement, Sacred Object, Ceremonial Tool and/or Focus it generally refers to a practitionor's Ceremonial Cup (specifically made for general or particular Magickal Working, and/or consecrated to the same) used to represent the component of Emotions and Feeling in Workings and to help focus or direct the flow of the Energy created. In most Traditions the Cup is considered to correspond to the Elemental Water Energies.

Ewer - When the term Ewer is used in reference to a Magickal Implement, Sacred Object, Ceremonial Tool and/or Focus it generally refers to a vase shaped pitcher with a handle and a pronounced pouring lip specifically made for general or particular Magickal Working, and/or consecrated to the same.

Graal - When the term Graal is used in reference to a Magickal Implement, Sacred Object, Ceremonial Tool and/or Focus it generally refers to a specific type of drinking vessel with a stepped base (there is a connection of nesting sizes, perhaps originally a Graal was one of a set of graduated size vessels) specifically made for general or particular Magickal Working, and/or consecrated to the same. In this context the item is normally of medium size without handle and decorated within and without.
